Cycling in Corfu
CorfuCycling offers a fantastic programme of cycling throughout the north and most beautiful part of Corfu. We have been cycling in Corfu for many years and have routes that are perfect for those wanting to explore the quiet lanes, picturesque villages and spectacular views. We can arrange fully guided tours for groups and also provide everything you need if you want to go it alone.
Even if you are just a moderately fit cyclist, cycling is one of the most enjoyable ways to discover the delights of Corfu. The island has a good road system which means that nearly all of the most beautiful parts of the island are within easy reach for a day’s ride. Away from the main roads there are quiet lanes through beautiful green countryside, olive groves and traditional Corfiote villages. Cycle hire is available so you don't have to bring your own.
Using Arillas as your holiday base, the whole of the north and most beautiful part of Corfu is open to any cyclist who doesn't mind a few hills. A bicycle is the perfect way to explore Corfu, you can stop wherever you want and soak up the atmosphere or enjoy stunning views over the island. The food in the tavernas tastes even more fantastic too.
The cycling routes we have created here are just some of the roads and tracks in the area that will take you to magical scenic views, traditional villages and wonderfully quiet countryside. Follow our routes or design your own, you will never be disappointed.

Quick Q&A
How fit do I need to be?
Corfu is a hilly island and you will need to be fairly fit to climb some of the hills. We always try to configure the rides to suit the fitness of the group and go at the speed of the slowest rider.
Are the hills very hard?
Some of the hills are quite steep but we do our best to ensure that routes are as easy as possible. Most hills are hard but gradual and a moderate cyclist will manage them.
How big will the group be?
Our Group holidays are arranged for groups of eight or more riders. We try not to ride in a single group of more than twelve, so sometimes we split groups into two.
Can I go on my own?
We can provide maps and routes for cyclists who want to go it alone.
How long will the rides be?
We aim to begin the ride at 10am each day and normally return about 5pm. During this period, depending on the route, we can cover 40-60km.
Is there a guide?
If you have selected to have a guide for your group, the guide will be with you every day of your tour round Corfu.
Can I bring my own bicycle?
We do not recommend that you bring your own bicycle to Corfu. They can be easily damaged in transit (we've seen some horrors!) and are difficult to transfer from the airport. We provide bike hire at a reasonable rate and it makes the riding more fun if all the group are on similar bikes.
Where will we be based in Corfu?
We are based in Arillas, a small coastal resort on the North West of Corfu. This resort is ideally placed to discover the lanes, villages and stunning views of the picturesque Northern part of Corfu.
Can I organise my own accommodation?
While we can provide a range of accommodation in Arillas, you are welcome to arrange your own and join one of our cycling groups.
